📖 Isa. 26:19 “Warri kan keetii garuu in jiraatu, reeffi isaaniis du’aa in ka’a; isin warri awwaala keessa ciiftan, ka’aa, gammadaa faarfadhaa! Yaa gooftaa, fixeensi ati ergitu fixeensa jireenya kennuu dha, egaa laftis ekeraa warra du’anii ol in baafti.”

🎚 “warri awwaala keessa ciiftan, ka’aa, gammadaa faarfadhaa!” yommuu jedhu waa’ee du’a foonii jechuusaa miti. Isin warri hafuuratti duutanii jirtan ka’aa farfaadhaa jechuusaati.

📖 Far. 143:7 “Hafuurri koo wal qaqqabuu dadhabeera, ariifadhuu na jalaa owwaadhu, yaa Waaqayyo! Akka warra boollatti gad bu’anii akkan hin taanetti, fuula kee achi ana irraa hin qabatin!”

የመግቢያ ጥቅስ

📖ሉቃስ 21 ³⁴ “እንግዲህ በገደብ የለሽ ሕይወት፣ በመጠጥ ብዛትና ስለ ኑሮ በመጨነቅ ልባችሁ እንዳይዝልና ያ ቀን እንደ ወጥመድ ድንገት እንዳይደርስባችሁ ተጠንቀቁ፤ ³⁵ ይህ በመላው ምድር በሚኖሩት ሁሉ ላይ ይደርሳልና። ³⁶ ስለዚህ ከሚመጣው ሁሉ እንድ ታመልጡና በሰው ልጅ ፊት መቆም እንድትችሉ ሁል ጊዜ ተግታችሁ ጸልዩ።”

👉’ንቃ!’ ልባል የሚገባው ለማን ነው? ተኝቶ ለነበረው አይደለም?

📖ኤፌሶን 5፥14 “ምክንያቱም ሁሉን ነገር እንዲታይ የሚያደርገው ብርሃን ነውና፤ ስለዚህም፣ “አንተ የተኛህ ንቃ፤ ከሙታን ተነሣ፤ ክርስቶስም ያበራልሃል” ተብሎአል።”

👉3 የእንቅልፍ አይነቶች አሉ፤ እነሱም

➀መንፈሳዊ አይነቱ እንቅልፍ፣ (ኤፌሶን 5፥14፣ ኢሳይያስ 26፥19)

➁ተፈጥሯዊ አይነቱ እንቅልፍ፣ (መዝሙር 127፥2)

⓷የሞት አይነቱ እንቅልፍ፤(መዝሙር 13፥3)

👉በኢሳይያስ 26፥19 “ሙታንህ ሕያዋን ይሆናሉ፥ ሬሳዎችም ይነሣሉ። በምድር የምትኖሩ ሆይ፥ ጠልህ የብርሃን ጠል ነውና፥ ምድርም ሙታንን ታወጣለችና ንቁ ዘምሩም።” ሲል፣ ይህ አካላዊ ሞትን እያለ አይደለም።

👉ሰው በመንፈሳዊ እንቅልፍ ሲመሰጥ፦ ህልሙ፣ ራዕዩ እና ከእግዚአብሔር ጋር ያለው ህብረት ይሞታል።

👉ዳዊት በመዝሙር 143፥7 ላይ “አቤቱ፥ ፈጥነህ ስማኝ፤ ነፍሴ አልቃለች፤ ፊትህን ከኔ አትመልስ፥ ወደ ጕድጓድም እንደሚወርዱ አልሁን።” ስል፣ ከአንተ ጋር ያለኝ ህብረት ተቋረጠብኝ ማለቱ ነው።

መንቃት ያለብን ለምንድን ነው?

➀ መዳናችን ወደ እኛ ስለ ቀረበ።

📖 ሮሜ 13፥11 “ከእንቅልፍ የምትነሡበት ሰዓት አሁን እንደ ደረሰ ዘመኑን እወቁ፤ ካመንንበት ጊዜ ይልቅ መዳናችን ዛሬ ወደ እኛ ቀርቦአልና።”

👉ሰዉ በእንቅልፍ እያለ በብርሃን መመላለስ አይችልም፤ እኛ ደግሞ የብርሃን ልጆች ነን፣ በጨለማ መኖር አንችልም፣ ምክንያቱም እንቅልፍ ለምሽት ልጆች ነው።

📖 1ኛ ተሰሎንቄ 5፥5 “ሁላችሁ የብርሃን ልጆች የቀንም ልጆች ናችሁና። እኛ ከሌሊት ወይም ከጨለማ አይደለንም፤”

👉ሐዋርያት 12:6-9 ስታነቡ የጴጥሮስን ታሪክ ታገኛላቹ።

📖 ሐዋርያት 12 ⁶ ሄሮድስም ሊያወጣው ባሰበ ጊዜ፥ በዚያች ሌሊት ጴጥሮስ በሁለት ሰንሰለት ታስሮ ከሁለት ወታደሮች መካከል ተኝቶ ነበር፤ ጠባቂዎችም በደጁ ፊት ሆነው ወኅኒውን ይጠብቁ ነበር። ⁷ እነሆም፥ የጌታ መልአክ ቀረበ በቤትም ውስጥ ብርሃን በራ፤ ጴጥሮስንም ጎድኑን መትቶ አነቃውና፦ ፈጥነህ ተነሣ አለው። ሰንሰለቶቹም ከእጁ ወደቁ። ⁸ መልአኩም፦ ታጠቅና ጫማህን አግባ አለው፥ እንዲሁም አደረገ። ⁹ ልብስህንም ልበስና ተከተለኝ አለው። ወጥቶም ተከተለው፤ ራእይንም የሚያይ ይመስለው ነበር እንጂ በመልአኩ የሚደረገው ነገር እውነት እንደ ሆነ አላወቀም።

👉 የጌታ መልአክ መትቶ እንዳነቃው፦ ሰንሰለቶቹም ከእጁ ወደቁ፤ ስለዚ ስንነቃ ያሠረን ሰንሰለት ከላያችን ላይ ይረግፋል።

አንድ አማኝ በ3 ነገሮች ላይ ንቁ መሆን አለበት፦

➀በራሱ ላይ

➁በሰይጣን ማታለያ ጥበብ ላይ

⓷በዘመኑ ላይ

👉እስቲ እነዚህን በሰፊው እንመልከታቸው

➀. በራስ ላይ መንቃት

👉በራሱ ላይ የነቃ ሰው ጠንካራ እና ደካማ ጎኑን ጠንቅቆ ያውቃል።

📖ራእይ 2 ² ሥራህን፣ ጥረትህንና ትዕግሥትህን ዐውቃለሁ። ክፉዎችንም ችላ ብለህ እንዳላለፍሃቸው፣ ሐዋርያት ሳይሆኑ ሐዋርያት ነን የሚሉትንም መርምረህ ሐሰተኞች ሆነው እንዳገኘሃቸው ዐውቃለሁ። ³ ደግሞም በትዕግሥት መጽናትህንና ስለ ስሜም መከራ መቀበልህን ዐውቃለሁ፤ በዚህ ሁሉ አልታከትህም። ⁴ ይሁን እንጂ የምነቅፍብህ ነገር አለኝ፤ ይኸውም የቀድሞውን ፍቅርህን ትተሃል። ⁵ እንግዲህ ከየት እንደ ወደቅህ አስብ፤ ንስሓ ገብተህ ቀድሞ ታደርገው የነበረውን ነገር አድርግ፤ ንስሓ ካልገባህ፣ መጥቼ መቅረዝህን ከቦታው እወስድብሃለሁ።

👉ይህች ቤ/ክ ጠንካራ ጎኗ፦

✏️ትታገሣለች፤

✏️ክፉዎችንም ችላ አትልም፤

✏️ስለ ጌታ ስም መከራን ተቀብላለች፤

👉ይህች ቤ/ክ ደካማ ጎኗ፦

✏️ የቀድሞውን ፍቅርሯን ትታለች፣ ነገርግን የት እንደወደቀች አታውቅም።

👉ስለዚህ ነው መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ፣ “¹¹ ይህ ሁሉ ምሳሌ ይሆን ዘንድ በእነርሱ ላይ ደረሰ፤ የዘመናት ፍጻሜ የደረሰብንን እኛን ለማስጠንቀቅም ተጻፈ። ¹² ስለዚህ ተደላድዬ ቆሜአለሁ የሚል ቢኖር እንዳይወድቅ ይጠንቀቅ፤” (1ኛ ቆሮንቶስ 10፥11-12) የሚለው።

👉በዚህ በመጨረሻው ዘመን ላ፣ ሰይጣን ድንዛዜን እና የሞት እንቅልፍ መንፈስን፣ ወደ ሰው ይልካል።

👉በራሱ ላይ ያልነቃ አማኝ ለመንፈሳዊ ቀውስ ይጋለጣል

📖 ራእይ 3 ¹⁴ በሎዶቅያም ወዳለው ወደ ቤተ ክርስቲያን መልአክ እንዲህ ብለህ ጻፍ፦ አሜን የሆነው፥ የታመነውና እውነተኛው ምስክር፥ በእግዚአብሔርም ፍጥረት መጀመሪያ የነበረው እንዲህ ይላል፦ ¹⁵ በራድ ወይም ትኩስ እንዳይደለህ ሥራህን አውቃለሁ። በራድ ወይም ትኩስ ብትሆንስ መልካም በሆነ ነበር። ¹⁶ እንዲሁ ለብ ስላልህ በራድም ወይም ትኩስ ስላልሆንህ ከአፌ ልተፋህ ነው። ¹⁷ ሀብታም ነኝና ባለጠጋ ሆኜአለሁ አንድም ስንኳ አያስፈልገኝም የምትል ስለ ሆንህ፥ ጐስቋላና ምስኪንም ድሀም ዕውርም የተራቆትህም መሆንህን ስለማታውቅ፥ ¹⁸ ባለ ጠጋ እንድትሆን በእሳት የነጠረውን ወርቅ፥ ተጐናጽፈህም የራቁትነትህ ኃፍረት እንዳይገለጥ ነጭ ልብስን፥ እንድታይም ዓይኖችህን የምትኳለውን ኵል ከእኔ ትገዛ ዘንድ እመክርሃለሁ። ¹⁹ እኔ የምወዳቸውን ሁሉ እገሥጻቸዋለሁ እቀጣቸውማለሁ፤ እንግዲህ ቅና ንስሐም ግባ። ²⁰ እነሆ በደጅ ቆሜ አንኳኳለሁ፤ ማንም ድምፄን ቢሰማ ደጁንም ቢከፍትልኝ፥ ወደ እርሱ እገባለሁ ከእርሱም ጋር እራት እበላለሁ እርሱም ከእኔ ጋር ይበላል።

👉ይህች በሎዶቅያም የነበረችው ቤተ ክርስቲያን እነዚህን ድክመቶች ነበሯት፦

➀ ታውራ ነበር

➁መንፈሳዊ ውድቀት ውስጥ ነበረች

መንቃት ለምን ይጠቅማል?

1. ከሚመጣው ሁሉ እንድታመልጡ

📖ማቴዎስ 26 ⁴² እንደ ገና ለሁለተኛ ጊዜ ሄዶ፣ “አባት ሆይ፤ ይህ ሳልጠጣው የማያልፍ ጽዋ ከሆነ፣ ፈቃድህ ይፈጸም” ብሎ ጸለየ። ⁴³ እንደ ገናም በመጣ ጊዜ ዐይኖቻቸው በእንቅልፍ ከብደው ስለ ነበር ተኝተው አገኛቸው። ⁴⁴ ትቶአቸውም እንደ ገና በመሄድ ለሦስተኛ ጊዜ ቀደም ብሎ የጸለየውን ጸሎት ደገመ። ⁴⁵ ከዚያም ወደ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ ተመልሶ እንዲህ አላቸው፤ “አሁንም ዐርፋችሁ ተኝታችኋል? እነሆ፣ ሰዓቱ ቀርቦአል፤ የሰው ልጅ በኀጢአተኞች እጅ ዐልፎ ይሰጣል፤ ⁴⁶ ተነሡ እንሂድ፤ አሳልፎ የሚሰጠኝም እየመጣ ነው።”

👉ኢየሱስ ሞትን ለመፋለም እየሄደ እንደሆነ ስላየ ወደ ተራራ ወጥቶ ያለማቋረጥ ይጸልይ ነበር፣ ደቀመዛሙርቱ ግን እንቅልፍ ተጫጭኖዋቸው መጸለይ አልቻሉም።

✏️ ኢየሱስ ወደ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ ሲመጣ፣ ተኝተው አገኛቸው፤ ጴጥሮስንም ፤ “እንግዲህ፤ ከእኔ ጋር ለአንድ ሰዓት እንኳ መትጋት አቃታችሁን?” አለው። ተመልሶም ለመጸለይ ሄደ።

✏️ እንደ ገናም በመጣ ጊዜ ዐይኖቻቸው በእንቅልፍ ከብደው ስለ ነበር ተኝተው አገኛቸው፣ ትቶአቸውም ሄደ።

✏️ወደ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ ለሦስተኛ ተመልሶ ስመጣ፥ ተኝተው አገኛቸው፣ እንዲህም አላቸው፤ “አሁንም ዐርፋችሁ ተኝታችኋል? ተነሡ እንሂድ፤ ” አላቸው።

👉ይጸልይ የነበረው ኢየሱስ ሞትን፣ መገለልና መገረፍን ሲደፍር፣ ደቀመዛሙርቱ ግን በጸሎት ዝሎ ስለ ነበሩ ደቀመዛሙርትነታቸዉንም ለመመስከር አልደፈሩም።

👉ንቁ ሆነህ ስትጸልይ፣ ዓለምን ያስፈራውን ጽኑ ለመፋለም የጸሎት አቅም ታገኛለህ።

👉ንቁ ሆነህ መጸልይ ከቻልክ በጽናት የህይወትን ውጣውረድ እና የሰይጣንን ተግዳሮቶች ማሸነፍ ትችላለህ።

👉 መጽሐፍ እንደሚል፣ “በዚህም ዓለም እርሱን እንመስላለን፤” ስለዚህ እርሱ በንቃት ስጸልይ እንደ ነበረው እኛም ደግሞ በንቃት መጸለይ አለብን።

📖1ኛ ዮሐንስ 4፥17 “በዚህም ዓለም እርሱን እንመስላለንና። በፍርድ ቀን ድፍረት ይኖረን ዘንድ፣ ፍቅር በዚህ ዐይነት በመካከላችን ፍጹም ሆኖአል፤”

👉በንቃት በጸለይክ መጠን የሁኔታዎችን የችግር አጥር ጥሰህ ታልፋለህ።

➁በሰው ልጅ ፊት መቆም እንድትችሉ

📖1ኛ ዮሐንስ 2፥28 “እንግዲህ ልጆች ሆይ፤ እርሱ ሲገለጥ ድፍረት እንዲኖረን፣ በሚመጣበትም ጊዜ በፊቱ እንዳናፍር በእርሱ ኑሩ።”

📖ሉቃስ 21፥36 “ስለዚህ ከሚመጣው ሁሉ እንድ ታመልጡና በሰው ልጅ ፊት መቆም እንድትችሉ ሁል ጊዜ ተግታችሁ ጸልዩ።

👉በንቃትና፣ በጸሎት ከጌታ ጋር ጊዜን ስታሳልፍ፣ ብትደክም እንኳን መንፈስ ቅዱስ ያነቃቃኻል።

Opening verse

📖Luk 21 (NRSV) ³⁴ “Be on guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day catch you unexpectedly, ³⁵ like a trap. For it will come upon all who live on the face of the whole earth. ³⁶ Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

📖 Eph 5፥14 (TNIV) “This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

👉 Who has to be told to wake up? Is it not to he that is sleeping?

👉There are 3 different types of sleeping’s. These are:

➀Spiritual type sleep (Eph 5፥14, Isa 26፥19)

➁Natural type sleep. (Ps127:2)

⓷the death type sleep (Ps13:3)

👉When the Bible says in Isa 26:19, “Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead”, it is not talking about physical death but the spiritual death.

👉When someone is in deep spiritual sleep: his vision, his dream and his fellowship with God will Get to die.

👉 When David said in Ps 143፥7 “Answer me speedily, O Lord; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit.” He was not referring the natural death, but disconnection from God.

Why are we needed to be awake?

➀our salvation is at hand than ever.

📖 Rom 13፥11 (NKJV) “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.”

👉The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is near to us than the day we surrounded to him.

👉He that is sleeping cannot enjoy the light nor he is able to walk in it, but because we are the children of light we cannot remain in the darkness as the children of darkness.

📖1Ths 5፥5 (NKJV) “You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.”

👉if you read Act12:6_9 you will see an account of Peter,

📖Acts 12 (NKJV) ⁶ And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. ⁷ Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. ⁸ Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” ⁹ So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

👉After an angel of the Lord raised him up, his chains fell off his hands. So if you fail to wake up you will remain in chain.

👉A Christian should be watchful on 3 things:

➀ On Himself

➁on the deceptive wisdom of Satan

⓷on his days.

Let we the detail of them.

1. Being watchful on oneself

👉He that is watchful of himself knows his strength ang weakness.

👉The church of Ephesus which was one of the 7 churches in Asia for example had her own strength and weakness.

📖Rev 2 (NKJV) ² I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; ³ and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. ⁴ Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. ⁵ Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place–unless you repent.

👉here are her strength:

✏️she was diligent

✏️she didn’t tolerate the wicked

✏️endured hardship for the seek of the name of the lord.

👉and this is her weakness,

✏️She have left her first love, and didn’t consider how far she fell.

👉He that fail to watchfully guard himself will suffer failure. That is why the Bible says, “¹¹ These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. ¹² So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! (1Cor 10:11-12 (TNIV))

👉At this end of ages, Satan sends spirit of stupor and sleep of death.

📖Rev 3 (NKJV) ¹⁴ “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: ¹⁵ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. ¹⁶ So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. ¹⁷ Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’–and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. ¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. ¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. ²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

👉This is also the weakness of the church of the Laodiceans

➀ she was blinded

➁ She was in spiritual crisis

Why is it necessary to be Alerted?

➀To escape the coming evil.

📖 Mat 26 (NRSV) ⁴² Again he went away for the second time and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.” ⁴³ Again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. ⁴⁴ So leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words. ⁴⁵ Then he came to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? See, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. ⁴⁶ Get up, let us be going. See, my betrayer is at hand.”

👉When Jesus was about to face death, He went up on the mountain and kept praying.

✏️When he came down from the mountain, he found his disciples sleeping and he said to Peter, “So, could you not stay awake with me one hour?” He went up again to pray.

✏️Again when he came down and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy and he went up again leaving them sleeping.

✏️Then when He came down for the third time, he found his disciples sleeping yet and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Get up, let us be going. “

👉because he have been praying he was bold enough to face, the cross, death, rejection and strip, but his disciples because they failed of praying, the failed to stand steal even to confess that they were his disciples.

👉When you are watchful and pray, you will have a power to stand against the giant that terrified the world.

👉when you are strong enough to be watchful and pray, you are strong enough to concur all trials of life and Satan.

👉As the bible says, “as he is, so are we in this world.” As he used to do when he was in the world in his flash, so we also should do.

📖1John 4:17 “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness on the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world.”

👉The more you’re watchful and prayerful, the more you’re strong enough to break any cages of circumstances.

➁ To meat the sun of Man.

📖1Jn 2፥28 (NRSV) “And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.”

👉In the second coming of Jesus Christ, to appear in his presence without spot and blemish we have to be watchful and playful.

👉When you are watchful and able to spend time with the lord, the spirit of God will awake you every time you are about to slumber.
